Find A Way #Poem

She says she is not insecure, but yet you don’t see her a day without make-up
She says she doesn’t need somebody to love, but loneliness hits her as soon as she wakes up
She tells everyone how happy she is and she even starts to believe it herself
She has got everything she needs, but still she doesn’t feel fulfilled
She tried everything, for meditation to medication, from writing and music
To walking for miles, being by herself and being in public

And slowly, real slowly she’s finding a way
To find joy in the smallest things, to make the best of her days
But her head always plays these tricks and games
Distracting her from her own happiness, dragging her down, pulling her away
From the mindset she built up, which took so long, for the work was hard
If only there was a way she could tame the demons in her brain

Maybe acceptance was the key
Accepting that life was both full of joy and misery
But doing is harder than thinking
Dreaming is easier than acting

But she’d keep trying, keep fighting against her own mind
She’d find a way, all she needed was time

    1. It really is. Everytime you think you might have been cured, it comes back again.. even harder sometimes.

And that’s exactly what I’m trying to do. Just to take it one day at the time and not looking much futher ahead, because it only causes anxiety… And enjoying the little things is something I learned to do along the way, for which I’m grateful

      Take care xxx
